i am going to buy a new pc , but i cant decide wheather i should go for intel or amd . though i am a amd fan , intel core 2 duo has shown some great things
i just want to know that what is the best buy ? i.e. which processor will give me more performance for the same amount of money ???
many of my friends suggested that i should buy a intel core 2 duo because of its performance , but i feel amd will come with another revolutionary processor which will perform better than intel dual core cpus , and will cost far less than the competitive intel processor.perhaps than i can upgrade mu pc with a new cpu

I need to know if this computer is a good buy. I will be using it mostly for IMing, Email, Myspace, etc. as well as dowloading music onto my Ipod. Its about $599 at best buy and comes with Windows Vista Premium edition. Is this a good computer for what I do? Am I getting a good deal? How good are Compaq products? HELP!!! Computer, repair.

I have an old school Dell computer. Dell Dimension 4100 to be exact... It has a 120 GB extra hard drive on it, plus a high speed internet connection... So basically, what I'm saying, is that it gets the job done. I have a less then one year old Samsung HDTV, and it has HDMI outputs, S-Video output, Y-P- whatver the smurf it is outputs, basically everything you need.... I want my PC monitor to display on the TV. I know I need to get a video card, plus a cord, I got a buddy that is going to hook it all up, I just want to know what people recommend. My computer is definitely not HD, my TV definitely is, and I want something that will optimize the potential between the two... I want to be able to watch my computer movies on my TV... I will either be shopping at Best Buy, or Fry's Electronics (I live in AZ), or on the internet, depending on the responses I get. This is my first time posting on here, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot!
